"DREAM: A NEW MUSICAL" tells the story of one of the most beloved Americans of all time, Martin Luther King Jr. The first act details the initial romance between MLK and Coretta Scott King, and the second act displays the last three months before his assassination in 1963. The score reminds you of both Sondheim and Motown and features colorful characters and a heartwarming story of the man we all know. You will see Martin not only as a prophet, a leader, an activist, and a minister, but as a husband, a father, and friend.
"Dream: A New Musical" was Joriah Kwame's first original stage musical, and had a workshop production in 2013 at the Little Theater at Western Michigan University, which starred Joriah Kwame as Martin Luther King Jr.
